March 31, 2017

Before Christy Curran left, I was able to give her a small gift of thanks for her time at AISC, a bag made from one of the advertising banners with her name on it.  I was also able to thank her for two portable phrases about education she shared with me and our faculty. If you did not hear them, I would like to share them with you.  The first, “fall in love with everyone of your students.”  Hard to do, but helpful to foster the learning relationship between teacher and student.  The second phrase I thanked Christy for was “believe every student is a writer.”  This speaks to me because it recognized the need to believe in the potential of every one of your students.  Thank you, Christy

Also a heartfelt thank you to Rachael Moser for ALL her organization and personal guidance of the mini-lesson, pre and post conferences, and master organizer of Christy’s dynamic schedule!

Professional Learning and Development Request Form
In order to better understand the time commitment teachers are planning for their professional learning opportunities, the AISC Request form has been revised.  HERE is the REVISED Professional Learning and Development Request Form.  The only change you will see is the addition of adding DATES AWAY FROM SCHOOL (including travel dates).  The REVISED form is updated on this blog and on the AISC Moodle Staff Portal.  Going forward, please use this form.
