These days are busy. However, I have been saying that my entire educational career. Moments after three-day weekends, especially the Monday mornings after make me realize the opportunity before us. I continue to believe we stand a pivot point before us. There will be an end to the pandemic. What will we look to retain from the change we have undergone? Will we redefine what busy is and change our priorities? Now is the time to design, innovate, and create a better future for the days ahead.

MSA Virtual Accreditation Visit Schedule
As we further prepare for our Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSA) Virtual Accreditation Visit, we write to share with you the MSA Virtual Accreditation Visit Schedule. AISC’s re-accreditation visit is scheduled for November 30 - December 2, 2020.
AISC’s re-accreditation process formally began the self-study at the start of the 2019-2020 school year. The process culminates with a virtual visit from a four-member team of international educators, the Visiting Team. The purpose of the visit is to better understand our school and validate our Self-Study report. The Visiting Team will determine adherence to the 12 MSA Standards, review our Plan for Growth and Improvement, provide recommendations for improvement as critical friends, and make an accreditation recommendation.
You may receive an invitation because of your involvement in the MSA process and/or your understanding of AISC. Please indicate your availability on the calendar invitation. You will only be invited to meetings with members of the MSA Visiting Team for which we feel you are qualified to discuss the topics being addressed.
The full AISC Self-Study will be made available to the AISC community early next week.
We are already looking forward to sharing all the good work of AISC! Thank you in advance for all your help to do the same!
Sincerely,
Dan Love, MSA Self-Study Internal Coordinator
Mary Kelly Bello, MSA Self-Study Internal Coordinator

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Homa Tavangar hosted a NESA webinar on Building Racial Literacy and Building Human Empathy, Below is a brief description and guiding question for the webinar.
The BIG Question: How can we reimagine justice, equity, diversity and inclusion in our schools and for our children?
At this crucial moment in the movement for racial justice around the world, how can schools move beyond the semblance of diversity and inclusion into centers of justice and equity that nurture, encourage and safeguard all of their students? This dynamic session will explore how key terms like diversity and empathy are used generously in schools with little examination of the conditions necessary to bring either to full expression. In addition to building racial literacy, this session integrates live music and storytelling to stimulate empathy and activate the imagination needed to transform our educational environments - and nurture meaningful conversations at home.
Use this NESA ZOOM link to view the very important and engaging webinar with musical accompaniment!
