Follow these step to have an individualized, signed AISC PLD Transcript:

  3. Include the number of hours per event. Example:  Suzie Boss--PBL--2.5 HOURS
  4. Share it with me with your name on the list
  5. I will have it printed on letterhead, stamped, and signed

EAL Shout-out!

In all sections of AISC, we have been feverously administering WIDA tests. Each year AISC uses this test to identify English language growth during a given school year, assist with class placement for the following year, and give teachers a proficiency foundation for ELLs in order to start planning appropriate grade level instruction. When taking the test, students are given 7 different proficiency levels: Speaking, Listening, Writing, Reading, Oracy, Literacy, and a Composite score. These proficiency levels range from 1-6: 1&2 are considered beginners, 3&4 intermediate, and 5&6 advanced. For your reference, here are the general descriptors for the levels.

This year, our students are showing a tremendous amount of growth. I will have an overall AISC growth story for you in the last Raptor Way Blog of this year. You should all feel very proud of your efforts. I can’t thank you enough for your devotion.

Peace-
Sarah
