“Don’t just ask
whether you’re proud of what you’ve achieved. Ask whether you’re proud of
how you’ve achieved it. The ends don’t
justify the means. The means are the measure of character. You reveal your values in the way you pursue
your goals.” Adam Grant

Shout-out!
Following up on the co-teaching infographic, people requested a more detailed
reference for the Collaborative Teaching Cycle. Granted, it has taken a bit of
time to get it out there, but lo! We now have something to share. Here is the current
draft. Highlights include:
Co-planning: A clear outline of
- Roles
for Content/Homeroom and EAL Teachers
- Tasks
that should be done together
Co-instructing: A breakdown of
- The
7 co-instruction models organized by group configuration
- What
each teacher does and when to use them
Co-assessing: The understanding of
- Why
we have to co-asses
- How
to plan for co-assessment
Co-reflecting: Some suggestions for
- When
reflection takes place, both personally and with your co-teaching peer
- Questions
you might want to ask each other while reflecting
I’m not sure if I’ll be able to get hard copies by the end of this
year, but I’m sure to have hard copies of this bifold will be available at AFO.
If you would like a hard copy now, please let me know. I should have a few
copies kicking around by next week.
Peace-
Sarah
